The NHL suspended left wing Tyson Nash on Tuesday for two games for a slashing incident during last Thursday's 5-0 loss to San Jose.
Nash received a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct after whacking Alexander Korolyuk with his stick twice during the third period.
"Obviously, it was a stupid play on my part," Nash said before the suspension was announced. "I was just frustrated in the heat of the moment."
Nash must sit out tonight's game vs. Anaheim, and Friday's game vs. the New York Islanders. |
